Rules
General Rules
Games:
- Head Up (1 on 1)
- 3 Way (cutthroat)
- 4 Way (cutthroat)
- Teams (2 on 2)
- 7 Dominos to start game with.
- Points start at 10 or better to get on board.
- You have to say Domino after you played all your Dominos.
- Exposed Dominoes gets reshuffled into the boneyard.
- Locked Board: player with less money in his hands, receives opponents’ money.
Completion of Houses:
- A House is 50 points.
- There are 3 houses in the game. Which equals 150 points!
- Complete first house before opponent is on board, game is over, and it’s considered 2 games.
- Complete 3 houses while opponent is still in the first house, equals 2 wins.
Terminology of the Game:
- Money- Points
- Bold money- didn’t add up to correct number of points that was counted.
- Spinners- The first double domino that was played.
- Bone yard- pile of dominos
- Bones- Another word for Domino
- Locked board- player with less points than opponent, receives his/her money. The player with the highest double starts the next hand.
- Bone check- is when a player asks to see how many bones the opponent has.
- Playing out of turn- is when another opponent is up to play before you.
Blow Ups:
- Counting wrong points “money”.
- Missing you’re out money.
- Playing out of turn
- If board was locked and you don’t come out with double sixes first
- Pulling from boneyard when you don’t have to
- Forgetting what the spinner is/playing on the wrong spinner.

- Game Time- 15 minutes. If the game is still on, the player with the most points wins.

- Choose who you think would win.
3 Man General Rules

- Pulling from the boneyard when you don’t have to.
- Forgetting the spinners.
- Passing on your turn when you can play.
- If a player blows up before the game is over, he/she gives half of his game money to house.
Table Pots:
- Winner pays table $10.
- Bets with table:
- Win more than 20 points and up.
- Out of first house, first
- Blow up.
- Bet free with your opponent.
4 Man (cutthroat) General Rules
3 house completion:
- 50 points for a house. Which equals 150 points.
- Complete first house before the opponent is on board, equals 2 wins.
- Complete 3 houses before the opponent is out of first house, equals 2 wins.
- Game Time- is 25 minutes. If the game is still on, the player with the most points wins.
Blow Ups:
- Giving money to the wrong back man.
- Playing out of turn.
- If board was locked and you don’t come out with double sixes first
- Forgetting what spinners are.
- If the player is out of the first house before everyone is on board, the player wins the pot.
- Passing on your turn to play when you can.
Table Pots:
- $30 and up bets on a game.
- Winner pays the table $15.
- Bets with table.
- Winners’ choice of bet
- Out of first house before 2 or 3 opponents
- Choose who’s going to blow up first.
- Win more than 20 points against the opponent.
Tournament Rules:
- 4 tables= 16 players
- 20-25 minutes a game
- 30 seconds to play a domino unless the board is locked, then it’s 1 minute.
- The Player with the most points automatically enters the final four. The players with the least points at the table are eliminated from the tournament.
- The winner earns respect, rewards, and enters the hall of fame of The Domino League.
